Gadsden ISD Opens First-Ever School-Based Health Center at North Valley Elementary

Posted Date: 7/28/25 (11:37 AM)

Gadsden Independent School District is proud to announce the opening of its first School-Based Health Center, located at North Valley Elementary School. This initiative marks a major milestone in our ongoing commitment to support the whole child—academically, emotionally, and physically.

Through a valued partnership with Ben Archer Health Center, this new clinic provides convenient and accessible healthcare directly on campus, helping eliminate barriers that often prevent students and families from seeking medical care. The center is open to all Gadsden ISD students, offering services such as:

  • Physicals
  • Immunizations
  • Well-child checkups
  • Sick visits
  • Mental health counseling

Parents no longer have to miss work or arrange complex transportation for routine or urgent medical appointments—students can now receive quality healthcare while staying connected to learning.

The North Valley School-Based Health Center is currently accepting appointments. To schedule, families may call (575) 201-3229.

This center represents the first step in a broader district-wide plan to expand access to healthcare across all of Gadsden ISD. As we prepare for a strong start to the 2025–2026 school year, we’re proud to invest in innovative solutions that remove obstacles to student success.

Because when our students are healthy, they are ready to learn.
