GISD Bond Election is Tuesday, Nov. 4. These funds support safer, modern schools without raising taxes

Posted Date: 10/02/25 (3:04 PM)

Over the years, general obligation bonds have funded major improvements across Gadsden ISD schools — including safer buildings, improved classroom technology, renovated restrooms, new roofs, and upgraded HVAC systems that ensure comfort year-round. These bonds have helped us create learning environments where students can focus and thrive.

On Tuesday, November 4th, GISD voters will decide on a new general obligation bond proposal. This bond will not raise the current tax rate, but it will provide critical funding to continue the work of improving our schools — from safety upgrades and facility repairs to new learning spaces designed to meet the needs of today’s students.

We are committed to ensuring our community understands what’s on the ballot and how these funds would be used. While we cannot tell you how to vote, we encourage all eligible voters to be informed and participate in this important decision.
