Gadsden ISD Celebrates Ribbon-Cutting for New Riverside Pre-K Campus

On Tuesday, March 3, Gadsden Independent School District proudly celebrated the official ribbon-cutting for the new Riverside Pre-K, welcoming families, students, staff, and community members to tour the district’s newest early childhood campus.
The celebration highlighted the vibrant spirit and talent of Gadsden ISD students. Guests were welcomed with an opening presentation by the Santa Teresa High School Color Guard, followed by energetic performances from the Santa Teresa High School Band, Cheer Squad, and dancers. The program also featured beautiful folklórico performances by the Tierra del Sol Ballet Folklórico from Desert View Elementary and the Santa Teresa High School Ballet Folklórico, showcasing the rich cultural traditions that are an important part of the district’s community.
Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the district held a special Board of Education meeting on the Riverside Pre-K campus, where the youngest students in attendance quickly became the stars of the day. Riverside Pre-K students delighted the audience with an adorable performance that brought smiles and applause from parents, staff members, and board members alike. Families turned out in large numbers to celebrate the opening of the new campus and support their young learners.
The new Riverside Pre-K campus features eight modern classrooms designed specifically for early childhood learning, creating a welcoming environment where students can explore, grow, and build a strong foundation for their educational journey in Gadsden ISD.
District leaders expressed appreciation to the many families and community members who joined in celebrating this important milestone and the continued investment in early childhood education.
