General Obligation Bond Information

Thank You for Supporting the Future of Gadsden ISD

We are proud to announce that with overwhelming support—79% of voters in favor—the Gadsden Independent School District’s General Obligation Bond has passed!

This outcome reflects the deep trust and shared commitment our community holds for improving our schools and creating safe, inspiring spaces for our students and staff.

📌 The $75 million bond will fund the following:

  • Chaparral Middle School: Complete demolition and new campus construction
  • New Anthony Pre-K Campus
  • Roof replacements at Chaparral HS and other sites
  • Softball and baseball field turf installations
  • District-wide upgrades: fire alarms, lighting, playgrounds, HVAC systems, accessibility improvements, security systems, roofing, and more
  • Land acquisition and design for a new Santa Teresa MS
  • Improvements at La Union ES, Sunrise ES, Gadsden ES, Santa Teresa ES, Alta Vista ECHS, and more

Con gran orgullo les informamos que el 79% de los votantes aprobaron la emisión del Bono General de Obligación del Distrito Escolar de Gadsden.

Este logro es reflejo de la confianza que nuestra comunidad deposita en sus escuelas y en el compromiso que compartimos por crear entornos educativos seguros, modernos e inspiradores.

📌 El bono de $75 millones permitirá financiar:

  • Demolición y construcción de un nuevo plantel para Chaparral Middle School
  • Nuevo plantel para Pre-K en Anthony
  • Reemplazo de techos en Chaparral HS y otras escuelas
  • Instalación de césped sintético en campos de béisbol y sóftbol
  • Mejoras en alarmas contra incendios, iluminación, áreas de juegos, HVAC, accesibilidad, sistemas de seguridad, techos y más
  • Adquisición de terreno y diseño para una nueva escuela secundaria en Santa Teresa
  • Mejoras en La Union ES, Sunrise ES, Gadsden ES, Santa Teresa ES, Alta Vista ECHS, entre otras
