Gadsden ISD High Schools Among Top in New Mexico for Graduation Rates

Gadsden Independent School District is proud to celebrate a major achievement for several of its high schools, which have been recognized among the top-performing schools in New Mexico for graduation rates.
According to the New Mexico Public Education Department’s Cohort 2025 Graduation Rate report, multiple Gadsden ISD schools ranked among the Top 10 high schools statewide for graduation rates, highlighting the dedication of students, teachers, families, and school leaders across the district.
Outstanding Graduation Rates
Several Gadsden ISD schools achieved exceptional graduation rates for the Class of 2025:

Alta Vista Early College High School – 100% graduation rate
Ranked among the Top schools in New Mexico for graduation rates among smaller high schools

Santa Teresa High School – 94.54% graduation rate
Ranked #2 in the entire state of New Mexico among large high schools
Also recognized for one of the highest graduation growth rates statewide with a +5.54% increase

Gadsden High School – 89.80% graduation rate
Ranked among the Top 10 high schools in New Mexico for graduation rates among schools with more than 300 students

Chaparral High School – 89.50% graduation rate
Also ranked among the Top 10 high schools statewide in its size category
These results place multiple Gadsden ISD campuses among the highest-performing schools in the state, demonstrating the district’s continued commitment to ensuring that every student graduates ready for college, career, and life.
A Commitment to Student Success
The New Mexico Public Education Department highlighted that Gadsden ISD has maintained persistently high graduation rates across multiple years, noting that the district has taken significant steps to strengthen student success by focusing on:
Improved data monitoring related to attendance, course completion, and student mobility
Use of a Multi-Layered System of Supports (MLSS) to identify and assist students who need additional help
Participation in the Panorama Survey to strengthen school culture and student engagement
Strong career and technical education pathways, including Perkins and NextGen CTE programs
These strategies help ensure students stay on track to graduate and pursue meaningful opportunities after high school.
