Project SEARCH Class of 2026 Celebration

The Gadsden Independent School District proudly celebrated the outstanding students of the Project SEARCH Class of 2026 during a heartfelt end-of-program recognition ceremony honoring their hard work, growth, and accomplishments.

Project SEARCH is a unique transition-to-work program that helps young adults with exceptionalities develop meaningful job skills, workplace experience, confidence, and greater independence through hands-on training and community partnerships. Throughout the program, students gain valuable real-world experience that prepares them for success in employment and everyday life.

The celebration brought together students, families, former graduates, educators, community leaders, sponsors, and supporters to recognize the determination and resilience of these remarkable young adults. Guests also heard directly from students who shared inspiring stories about their personal growth, experiences, and future goals.

GISD extends its sincere appreciation to Superintendent Nubia Tarazona, Chief Academic Officer Maria Hernandez, community partners, city officials, and all those who continue to support Project SEARCH and the opportunities it provides for students.
